The Wheel of Fate

Tonight, Ken and Andy will be spinning the Wheel of Fate for every $1,000 dollars raised. As a special treat (mostly for me), I will be joining them on the air to help count your pledges. Post your comments on the show here, and don't forget to check out the live webcast, which will be available at 6PM on the WFMU homepage.

Every $1,000? Wow, 2 years ago it was $500 and last year it was $500/750. I hope the stunts are worth it.

one die is a dice. two or more are dice

Anonymous said...

many people now have ken's phone number

Anonymous said...

raj apparently hates ken even though Andy is the mean one. Poor ken....

Anonymous said...

We should make "Andy-money" in the form of toilet paper...

ken. . .i'll be calling you later this week for a cup of coffee

Raj said...

Oh, dear lord!!! I feel like Andy's "Dwight Schrute"

What have I done.....

Sorry guys! I don't think it's very fair to Ken if I leave his cell phone number on the blog. Hope you all enjoyed the show! Too bad about that peanut butter underwear though...

Raj said...

... and now the podcast and archive listing is being held up because of me. GREAT!!!!!

Aw, man, my sister called and we talked for most of the show so I missed pretty much everything. Oh, well; look forward to the podcast (once it arrives).

It's okay, Andrea. I felt bad for posting it afterwards. I was just so excited and it seemed to be in the spirit of the show. So I'm grateful for the removal.

Too bad Andy wasn't really hurt enough this marathon (no piercing, only dice times 100). Hopefully Ken will have something in mind for the hangover show next week.

Damn... Did that post work? It's not showing up... At the risk of a double, I'm reclicking on "Publish your commment."

Original post was:

Arggh! No archive yet! Did something go wrong? Ergo Phizmiz's archive went up two hours ago...

BTW, first time this millenium that i caught the word "fink" used....

Looking forward to the podcast, as I too missed the show. I did donate though.

FYI: Ken is planning on editing out his phone number before making this archived episode available online. I don't know when he'll have it up, but be patient.

argh!!!! this is the second year in a row that my webcam stream recording software did not start recording at the right time...so once again i missed the entire wheel of fate in living, pixelated color! :(

Any chance that any of you lonely hippies out there may have recorded the webcam feed and are willing to share it? I'll trade ya last weeks 7SD webcam feed and/or last nights Scharpling show (with Ted Leo and Laura Cantrell) for it!

Anonymous said...

@ Melorama: Share last week's webcast anyway!

This is the first year I watched the webcast - was stuck at work. Meant to leave at 6 and then I heard the intro music and was hooked until 7. Damn, would have liked the PB underwear to happen.

Sorry for the delay in getting the archive and podcast up, I did edit my phone number out, and it's now available... Sorry I had to do that but I need my cell phone to be available for FMU broadcast and web emergencies! (I get robot calls if anything breaks down.)

It's not like Andy's cell phone which is used only for pizza delivery and massage partor reservations. I got about 30 text and voice messages during and after the show last night.

Anonymous said...

Why not post replay of the webcast on your website?

Anonymous said...

or hook up some webcast thing that can actually be played on a amd64 linux system?

Anonymous said...

Hey, guys. Just listened to the real media stream of last night's show. You forgot to edit another blurt-out of Ken's cell on the air. Damage control in order!!!

Robin said...

There's no archive of the Webcam is there? Or was it just a live stream.

Ken said...

OK, I've re-edited the archive and it's going back up now... I totally missed that last mention of my phone number! I thought after I ripped up Andy's hand-written note of my number that it was taken care of, but Andy looked the number up on his own cell phone later and I didn't even notice.

We may post the archive of the video, but it wouldn't be until after the marathon. I'll let you know here if we do that...

As requested, here's last week's 7sd webcam archive (94 MB ASF file)

If anyone has Wednesday's show, and can do the same, that would be awesome!

JJZ said...

Aw, I would have sent a message when I finally got around to listening to the archive. I'm behind. That would have been the end of it though.

Conwright said...

Must resist the urge to call Ken's cell phone to ask for Andy's cell phone number..

Anonymous said...

When Ken edited the archive to edit out his cell phone #, he should have edited Andy's in instead.

Robin said...

Or Michael Pollak's.

jwgh said...

Hey, is Andrea going to post a report of her visit to WFMU home base sometime? That would be neat!

Anonymous said...

Not to be a weirdo, but did Ken ever post the Xerox of his butt?

listenerzero said...

@ 7:20 AM: I've also wondered about this.

Andrea said...

Don't you worry! A post about my visit is on its way... but I am actually out of town right now with limited internet access. (I know! The horror!) Jeff/Emerson/Austin, can one or all of you do the post-show post tonight?

brutum fulmen said...

I think that items on the wheel should be replaced once they are used (at least for that person).

For example, it was no fun to have Andy crowd surf again once he'd already done it the first time. And I am glad nobody spun "shoe water" twice. The horror is just doing it the first time.

(Some, like dice x $100 could be OK to use multiple times.)

Duncan said...

Oh, wow, Andrea forgot my name! I'm finally part of the Seven Second Delay family.

jwgh said...

I think that that means Andy forgot your name once removed.

Anonymous said...

Once everyone has essentially forgotten this post, I'll put Ken's number back up.

HAHA!

Andrea said...

Oh, Duncan! Unlike Andy, I am actually really sorry about getting your name wrong.

Also, anonymous-- I wouldn't waste your time reposting Ken's number. I watch these comments closer than most people watch their children.
